What We Do

Air Conditioner Repair
Warm air, a unit that will not start, a breaker that keeps tripping, water around the indoor unit. The technician tests the electrical parts, reads the refrigerant pressures and checks airflow before naming a cause. Most repairs are finished on the first visit because the common parts ride on the truck.

AC Tune-Ups
Wedgwood systems sit in full sun on the south and west sides of ranch homes built in the 1950s and 60s. A spring tune-up washes the coil, tests the capacitor under load, checks the charge and clears the drain so the unit is ready for the first 100 degree week.
What the tune-up covers
AC Replacement
When a compressor fails on a unit that is old enough to vote, replacement is usually the better spend. We size the new system to the house with a load calculation, not by copying the tonnage off the old data plate, and we give you the repair price next to the replacement price so the choice is yours.
Repair or replace
Heating Repair
The furnace or heat pump shares the blower, the thermostat and the ductwork with the air conditioner, so one crew covers both. Cracked ignitors, dirty flame sensors, dead blower motors, failed boards and heat pumps stuck in defrost, whether the unit is in the attic or the hall closet.
Heating repair detailsWhat the Symptom Usually Means
You cannot diagnose an air conditioner from the vents, but the pattern narrows it down. Here is what the calls we get from Wedgwood tend to turn into.
- Outdoor fan spins, air inside is warm
- A capacitor that has drifted out of range, a compressor that will not start, or a refrigerant leak. The technician checks the capacitor and the compressor amp draw first.
- Nothing runs at all
- A tripped breaker, a blown low-voltage fuse, a thermostat with dead batteries, or a float switch that shut the system down because the drain line is clogged.
- Runs all afternoon and never catches up
- Dirty coils, a low charge, a duct that came loose in the attic, or a unit that was too small for the house the day it was installed.
- Ice on the copper line or the indoor coil
- Low airflow from a clogged filter or a failed blower, or a low refrigerant charge. Running it frozen can take out the compressor, so shut it off and call.
- Water on the closet floor or a stain on the ceiling
- A clogged condensate drain or a rusted-through drain pan. Cleared and confirmed draining on the same visit.
- Turns on and off every few minutes
- Short cycling. A failing thermostat, a freezing coil, or an oversized system. We watch a full cycle to find which.
How the Visit Goes
- You call. Describe what the system is doing. We give you a real arrival window and the technician calls when leaving the previous stop.
- We test, we do not guess. Capacitor, contactor, motor amps, refrigerant pressures, temperature drop across the coil, and the drain.
- You get the price. The failed part, the labor, the total, and an honest read on the rest of the system. Nothing is replaced without your go-ahead.
- We finish and run it. The technician stays through a full cooling cycle and checks the readings before leaving.

Built for Wedgwood Houses
Wedgwood was laid out in the 1950s and 60s, and most of the homes are single-story ranches with the air handler in the attic or a hallway closet and the condenser on a pad against the brick. Attics up here hit 140 degrees in August. That cooks capacitors, dries out flex duct, and shortens the life of blower motors.
We work on these houses every week, from the streets off Wedgwood Dr and Trail Lake Dr down to Altamesa Blvd and over to Granbury Rd. Southwest Fort Worth is the whole territory: Candleridge, Westcreek, South Hills, Overton South, and out toward Benbrook and Crowley.
